The Betrothed by Keira Cass I give this book a 3 out of 5 stars. Imagine catching the attention of a king. Lady Hollis does not need to imagine. She is thrilled that King Jameson seems to be interested in courting her. Jameson is a very kind king and one who Hollis admires. Hollis is not exactly the perfect child her parents wanted. They wanted a son who was obedient and behaved excellently. Hollis was far from that description. However, she could become royalty and that made her parents happy. They constantly were nagging her to be someone she was not. When Hollis is invited to join King Jameson on a barge down the river. He floods her with compliments.
