Mia has been dreaming of prom for years.  Mia and all of her friends try to think of reasons why Michael wouldn’t have asked her. Maybe he wants to ask her on her birthday. Maybe he wants to ask her in a romantic way. Maybe he just doesn’t want to go.  Mia’s 15th Birthday occurs at the beginning of this book. It starts out perfectly. She even gets a cell phone from her parents. Her dad gives her a pen to write with in her diary. Michael also give her a beautiful gift, but it’s not tickets to the prom.  Even Grandmere, the one Mia was not expecting a good gift from, gives Mia something amazing. She is so thankful. Mia’s is having her best birthday yet. That is, until an incident occurs, making a not-so-perfect end
