Life's Just Like a Porcupine

Life's Just Like a Porcupine poem written by RhinoReader13

Believe me when I say
Everything will be okay
It's alright, it's just fine
Life's just like a porcupine
So when someone acts very tough
Maybe they had a day that was quite rough
Because if you just step in their shoe
Maybe you'll see what they're going through
Look deeper and you may find
Life just poked them in the behind
There's always more than meets the eye
So above all, always be kind
If someone's stressed because their project is due
Remind them to thine own self be true
Because from a distance a porcupine is cute
But when you come within six feet,
You may find that they have smelly feet
Some porcupines are bigger and some are small
Some are short and some are tall
They all have spikes
When you are poked, remember they're just like hikes
Hikes can be long and make you sore
But at least they save you from a bore
It's the climb that matters
Whether you're a dancer who dances
Or a batter who batters
When you're not feeling too hot
Remember life isn't bad, no it's not!
Your mom may be awesome
Although your life can be flawsome
Your dad is quite great
Your family is first rate!
So when you're not feeling so fine
Remember life's just like a porcupine

Goddess Interrupted by Aimee Carter Rating: I rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars. Summary: Spoiler alert: don’t read this review until you have read book one of the Goddess Test series!  Kate Winters has earned immortality, or so she thinks. After going back to the human world for 6 months as she is allowed each year, she discovers this might not be true. Apparently, there are beings out there who can kill the immortal. Kate and the rest of the council will have to fight for their lives. They are fighting against Cronus, one of the most power beings. He is a titan. Titans created the gods and the humans.  As they are the ones who created the gods, they are also the only ones that can destroy the gods. Kate’s one true love, Henry is acting strange. Kate fears that he doesn’t want her anymore. On the day of her coronation, Henry is taken away by the King of the Titans. The rest of the council starts preparing for a war that seems impossible to win without Calliope, the Queen of the gods,

Princess in Love by Meg Cabot Rating: I give this book a rating of 4.5 stars out of 5 stars. Summary:  Spoiler alert!- Don’t read this review until you have finished the first two books in the Princess Diaries series.  Mia’s dreams are finally coming true, aren’t they? She finally has a boyfriend. She is the princess of a small principality in Genovia. Unfortunately for her, this life isn’t all unicorns and rainbows. Between trying to stop Kenny from kissing her and avoiding conversation about that, she also has to start getting ready for her introduction into Genovia.  What’s the big problem with having a boyfriend? Mia does not like her boyfriend. Kenny is nice and all, but Mia just doesn’t feel that way about him. She can’t bring herself to break up with him.  The person Mia has really fallen for is Michael Moscovitz. Unfortunately he appears to be dating Judith Gershner. Judith Gershner is a genius who can clone fruit flies. Michael also has many reason to not like Mia. Of course,

Princess in Pink

Princess in Pink by Meg Cabot Rating: I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars Summary:  Caution: Spoiler alert!  Prom is coming soon and Mia still hasn’t been asked. Why isn’t her boyfriend, Michael Moscovitz, asking her? There are only two weeks until prom when this book starts. Mia has been dreaming of prom for years.  Mia and all of her friends try to think of reasons why Michael wouldn’t have asked her. Maybe he wants to ask her on her birthday. Maybe he wants to ask her in a romantic way. Maybe he just doesn’t want to go.  Mia’s 15th Birthday occurs at the beginning of this book. It starts out perfectly. She even gets a cell phone from her parents. Her dad gives her a pen to write with in her diary. Michael also give her a beautiful gift, but it’s not tickets to the prom.  Even Grandmere, the one Mia was not expecting a good gift from, gives Mia something amazing. She is so thankful. Mia’s is having her best birthday yet. That is, until an incident occurs, making a not-so-perfect end
