Harriet the Spy

Harriet the Spy   3 and a half out of 5 stars

I  loved the book Harriet the Spy. A young girl named Harriet believes she is destined to be a famous author. She practices by spying on people secretly, daily and recording her finding. This all works out until her classmates find her spy journal and read what it says about them. I enjoyed the flow of this story.

The Betrothed

The Betrothed by Keira Cass I give this book a 3 out of 5 stars. Imagine catching the attention of a king. Lady Hollis does not need to imagine. She is thrilled that King Jameson seems to be interested in courting her. Jameson is a very kind king and one who Hollis admires. Hollis is not exactly the perfect child her parents wanted. They wanted a son who was obedient and behaved excellently. Hollis was far from that description. However, she could become royalty and that made her parents happy. They constantly were nagging her to be someone she was not.  When Hollis is invited to join King Jameson on a barge down the river. He floods her with compliments. Hollis throws a berry at another girl from court, hardly ladylike behavior. She falls right into the water. This family, the Eastoffes, have traveled to Coroa to escape from their k

Summary:  Spoiler alert!- Don’t read this review until you have finished the first three books in the Princess Diaries series.  In this book, Princess Amelia is going through more issues. The book starts off in Genovia. Mia is really missing Michael, her boyfriend, who she has yet to go on a date with. She had previously agreed to go to Genovia during Christmas break.  She is regretting signing that contract because now she actually has a boyfriend to miss. Mia is counting down the days until she sees him again. Her schedule is crazy and she has no free time. After reading Jane Eyre, she decides to stop chasing Michael, by not calling him every night. This is not the best idea.  When she gets back from Genovia, Mia’s problems are not over. Michael invites her on their first date. He invites her to go to the Screening Room and watch Star Wars with her during dinner. Due to being a princess, Mia
