Life's Just Like a Porcupine

Life's Just Like a Porcupine poem written by RhinoReader13 Believe me when I say  Everything will be okay It's alright, it's just fine Life's just like a porcupine  So when someone acts very tough  Maybe they had a day that was quite rough Because if you just step in their shoe Maybe you'll see what they're going through Look deeper and you may find Life just poked them in the behind There's always more than meets the eye So above all, always be kind If someone's stressed because their project is due Remind them to thine own self be true Because from a distance a porcupine is cute But when you come within six feet,  You may find that they have smelly feet Some porcupines are bigger and some are small Some are short and some are tall They all have spikes When you are poked, remember they're just like hikes Hikes can be long and make you sore But at least they save you from a bore It's the climb that matters Whether you're a dancer who dances O

The Betrothed

The Betrothed by Keira Cass I give this book a 3 out of 5 stars. Imagine catching the attention of a king. Lady Hollis does not need to imagine. She is thrilled that King Jameson seems to be interested in courting her. Jameson is a very kind king and one who Hollis admires. Hollis is not exactly the perfect child her parents wanted. They wanted a son who was obedient and behaved excellently. Hollis was far from that description. However, she could become royalty and that made her parents happy. They constantly were nagging her to be someone she was not.  When Hollis is invited to join King Jameson on a barge down the river. He floods her with compliments. Hollis throws a berry at another girl from court, hardly ladylike behavior. She falls right into the water. Jameson hardly ever laughs, but Hollis can make him laugh.  Then Jameson invites Hollis to join him to meet a family from Isolte seeking sanctuary. This family, the Eastoffes, have traveled to Coroa to escape from their k

The Selection

The Selection by Keira Cass I loved this book. It is one of my personal favorites. I give it a 5 out of 5 stars.  Imagine a chance to be a princess. In the Selection, 35 girls are given a chance to win the luxurious lifestyle of a lavish royal. For most people this is a dream come true, a chance to move up from the caste they were born in. For America Singer, this is not what she sees. She sees a life without her secret love, Aspen. America puts her name into the lottery, assuming she definitely will not be picked. America was born a 5 and her love, Aspen is a 6. If she marries him, she will move down in caste. When America is picked to enter the Selection, she is very surprised. She doesn’t care about the fact that the prince, Prince Maxon is in the highest caste, 1, where only royalty are. America goes into the competition expecting to hate Maxon. When she meets him however, America may begin to change her mind.  This book is the first book in a series. It is meant to entertai
